  1. I've been watching BASS live since it started well before ffs..We've always been staring at the backs of fisherman….not sure how anything changed?
    I believe I learn more now than I did before ffs..Anglers were very tight lipped 10 years ago..not today,secrets don't last a day anymore..AMEN..

  2. Definitely have tuned out! There was a brief moment during the coverage of the classic watching Cherry flip in 2’ of wood and docks that was finally a breath of fresh air. It was awesome!

  3. it’s gonna get to a point where tournament anglers in general are going to be ostracized by the local communities that are hosting these tournaments and what’s gonna happen if you’re gonna get more more canoes, small boats, big boats hitting the boat lodges running the technology and I think it’s going to create problems between communities and anglers. Not everybody is supposed to go out to the lake and catch fish. I hate to say that’s the truth. It takes times skill energy. Everybody can go out there and do it and the question is to put too much pressure on your lakes on your boat launches and then you have to deal with your community pushback.

  4. Done!!! no surprise anymore!!! Not like when Rick clunn caught that 9 pounder in the St. John’s now that was a surprise ( used to tape all the shows wouldn’t waste my time now !!!) terrible viewing

  5. Sick of it no value used to look forward to watching it not any more like the old saying you can put lipstick on that pig. That includes watching YouTube videos as well !!!!!!

  6. Livescope is going to stay expensive, that's how they make money. Cheap and accessible fishing electronics is not going to happen, Lowrance, Hummingbird, and Garmin are going to act like Apple and treat you like paypigs, and you'll pay up cause you have no choice other than to go without.

  7. Watching live or edited coverage has little to no value. Live coverage very rarely covers anglers I'm interested in watching. Edited coverage is so delayed in airing and so over-edited to build drama, the interested viewer already knows the specifics of who, what, where, and how; that there's no value in watching the edited product. If the anglers would talk a little more or live coverage there would be no need for commentators. Commentators are useless and add little value, to any sporting event, fishing included. This is why Youtube rocks, On demand information, from your preferred angler/influencer, when the viewer has time to watch.

  8. No different than watching a guy drag a carolina rig or cranking a ledge, you're still looking at the back of the angler. People just wanna complain and play follow the leader with excuses!

  9. We’ll take baseball for example, aluminum bats are ok till you get to the minor leagues then it’s all wooden bats, so I think at some level forward facing should stop and just fishing should start…

  10. I quit long ago. I don’t even have cable. I’d rather watch real people making good content on YouTube . The professional series is all about pushing product. Competition left 20 years ago.

  11. Watching a live bass fishing tournament(MLF or BASS) is the least exciting and boring thing ever. Does not matter if their using FFS or not. I would rather watch How To Videos. So I can learn to be a better fisherman. And I hate it when my favorite content creators get caught up in this social media frenzy of FFS and preaching about what other content creators are gossiping about. WHO CARES. Let’s go fishing. lol. Done with rant.

  12. No, I stopped watching any tournament coverage that I think will be a FFS dominated tournament. And alot of these types of tournaments will a top 10 of younger anglers that I have never even heard of before. Its very boring and very monotonous staring at someone's back for 7 – 8 hours and see him only cast when he sees a possible keeper on his screen.

  13. I have stopped watching fishing shows, I am disgusted by it.

I can rather spend my time playing fishing games on playstation….
FFS is killing everything, we love about fishing

IN fact a Playstation is cheaper than a boat. Lets just not buy the boat and the rods and the lures…. its all games anyway

  14. No i havent who cares how they catch them its about catching right ??? So its ok to beat the banks and catch spanwing fish but NOT ok to catch off shore fish with ffs ?? Let me ask ya havent we ALWAYS bought things to help us catch more fish ? Its about catching right ??

  15. Back in the 90s I wouldn't miss a Bassmasters Tournament on TV. It was shown a week after the actual tournament so it could be edited to show the most interesting and active portions of filmed tournament. Today like your buddies say it's boring as hell to watch a 4 way screen of 4 anglers all looking down on their FFS and occasionally catching a fish and the other part that was missing from the 90s edited show was the constant useless banter from the 3 hosts of the show, constantly talking over the anglers when they finally do catch a fish and weigh it. If Ray Scott was still alive and running BASS this would not be happening.

  16. Deep water provides a refuge for the bass. They are heavily pressured. Let them be elusive. What's next, FFS for deer and elk hunting ? The trophy bucks will be wiped out immediately.

  17. FFS takes the skill out of fishing, not interested in watching any Pro's back. My tournaments have seen half guys quite because we have FFS guys winning them, can't compete. Technology is cool, but they need to limit it in fishing. Every other Sport has done so except bass fishing.
