ICE FISHING Lake Arthur Early Season 2016 – Crappie Largemouth Bass Channel Catfish

ICE FISHING Lake Arthur Pennsylvania. Follow John, Brad and Rick as they fish Lake Arthur in Butler county Pa. Ice was around 6″ thick. They guys start off with a good early morning crappie bite then start catching a few nice largemouth bass. Tackle used were Ice Blues and Tickle Stick rods with spinning and inline reels with 3-4 lb test ice line. Bait used were small spoons and tungsten jigs. Brad also hooks into a big channel catfish. Caught many more fish than what we filmed. Good to be out on the lake for the first time this season! More videos to come! Subscribe!

  1. Fished during the tournament at Lake Arthur yesterday. Only the 2nd year I've been using a flasher. Caught a total of 4 bluegill in 4 hours haha. We were fishing right by all of these tournament guys catching buckets full of crappie? What are we doing wrong??? Should we be drilling more holes? We were using swedish pimples tipped with minnies. Any tips you can give me? Getting frustrated. These guys told me to look for structure, but I can't really detect structure on a flasher haha

  2. I've been ice fishing just a few times and would like get into it more, the only problem I have is I don't have a rhyme or reason where I set up, it would be greatly appreciated and helpful to not only me but other viewers if you could make a video describing where u set up and why you set up there for the target fish species to help beginners like myself be maybe a little more successful . Love the videos, they are all helpful and entertaining!!

  3. that scene in kingpin where Randy quaid doesn't want to get "munsoned" out in the middle of nowhere was filmed on that bridge in the background. seriously.
