ice Fishing a Tree-infested Lake for BIG panfish! (air fry catch n’ cook)

This lake hardly every disappoints! I decided to go out and try for some afternoon panfish at a lake I have not been to in FOREVER, and boy am I glad I did! Initially it took a bit to find a school of panfish and understand their habits but once we got dialed in, we got freakin’ dialed IN! Some big healthy bluegill with a nice largemouth bass mixed in made for an awesome afternoon of ice fishing!

The pattern for today’s fishing: finding deep water (20′-30′) and dropping down a wax worm in between those depths. It did not seem to matter if there was structure nearby, the fish were found mostly in open water and were aggressive!

Thanks for watching! Catch ya’ll on the next one!

  1. My best fish fry recipe. Heat one to two inches of peanut oil in a pan. Place a tube of Ritz Crackers in a plastic bag and crush fine using a rolling pin. Dip filets in an egg wash and roll in cracker crumbs and into the hot oil. Make sure the oil is hot, fish must bubble and pop when placed in the oil, around 375 degrees. Drain cooked filets on a paper towel and enjoy. I like them with cocktail sauce! Since frying fish can be messy, consider using a Camp Chef two or three burner outdoor cooker and moving the the entire process outdoors – weather permitting!
