I Found the Bass at Cullaby Lake… Then the Smoke Sent Me Home!
I headed to Cullaby Lake on the Oregon Coast chasing largemouth bass on a warm, beautiful day. The conditions looked great for bass fishing, and I was determined to see what Cullaby Lake had to offer.
But there was one problem — wildfire smoke started rolling in and eventually gave me a nasty headache, forcing me to call it an early day.
Even with the shortened trip, there were plenty of opportunities to chase largemouth and explore this Oregon bass fishery. Cullaby Lake is an interesting place to fish, and I’m already thinking about making another trip back when the conditions are better.
