I Found a Secret Pond FILLED With AQUARIUM FISH!

In today’s video, we get a tip from a friend that a pet store has been dumping exotic aquarium fish into a nearby pond! In this pond there is MASSIVE redtail catfish, pacu, MILLIONS of convict cichlids including albinos, and more! We used a net to catch as many of these fish out to bring back to my backyard ponds! Should we go back with a fish trap?

  1. If its chilly, the fish has probably gone down to the bottom, where the water might be just a few degrees warmer..
That's why it's only the smallest ones that's up there.

  2. Im from Miami, so I know s. Florida well, so im wondering, do you guys ever worry about gators? That pond could have been home to pretty big gators and there is practically no visibility under that grass. Gators could have been stalking you and you wouldn’t know till its too late. I love your vids, but im not gonna lie, sometimes i worry about y’alls safety. Please be careful!😳

  3. there use to be the Ross Sokoloff fish farms in Florida. When they closed down in the late 70's they dumped all their fish in Florida streams. I had tropical fish from about 65' to the 1980's. I worked with someone from south America that used Zebra danios as fishing bate.

  4. Convicts start breeding and then you end up with more than you can sell. That's probably how they ended up in there.

They're popular fish. But. Also extremely common and most people aren't packing a tank and settup large enough to keep a breeding population.

No shops near me would take convict cichlids because they were already breeding their own.
