I Can't Believe This Hidden Stream Had Fish THIS BIG!

I can’t believe this hidden stream had fish this big! This is the last day of the river season. The method being ultralight jigging with the hopes of catching absolutely anything willing to eat the lures. I never expected the session to end this well!

  1. Different situation but similar thing in the " not my job" category

A few months ago EA were clearing dead wood from my local stretch of the Thames and I saw 2 guys catching fish and putting them in bags I asked what they were doing and they told me in broken English taking them for the table

So I told the EA staff who told me in no uncertain terms they didn't give a shit as it wasn't what they were there for!! Sorry why do we pay for a rod licence again? Surely for this too? Thoughts?

  2. Think it would be good if you with your large audience used your position to hold the EA to task and present them with the litter evidence and ask them awkward questions.
Mentioning it and moving on will never help address the situation.

  3. The net handling technique at 11 minutes in was EPIC! The backwards / reverse unlocked head, net land was just superb! 🤣 Those 2 Perch were a nice ending to your river season. I know that they weren't that big for you but here in the states those would have been pretty stout! Yes, I know that they are a different species. Yellow perch (Perca flavescens) are native to North America (adults are typically 7 – 10 inches in length), while European perch (Perca fluviatilis) are found throughout Europe and parts of Asia (adults are 6 – 15 inches). …The Pike you landed earlier in the video was also very skillful. I thought that you might lose your rod tip for a second.

  4. I absolutely hate the trash that accumulates a long the river here in Central Montana. I'm constantly filling my net with cans ,worm containers plastic bottles. I can fill my net with ease every day & I do when the fishing is slow. I managed a 30in 7lb Northern & 2 between 23 & 24 1/2in & a 17in brown over the weekend & I lost 1 yesterday that felt massive I battled it for 5 minutes never got my eyes on it the ,the fight it put up makes me think 15+. Awsome video as usual 👍

  5. Irs about time the EA Canal river Trust and local councils and landowners got together and sorted how to manage the rivers and bankside trees and vegetation out in a sympathetic manner
. Too many outsorced tree butchers allowed to decimate watercourses !

  6. You could use your influence to organise a litter picking session. I organised one on our local river in France last Saturday, and 20 or so volunteers picked up 84 kgs in under 2 hours. Looks prettier, less plastic getting into the food chain, and plastic and cans were put to be recycled. Win, win, win.
