  1. We all have tough days. I had a trip a few weeks back, tough fishing. Hooked what was at least a 6 pounder but probably a 7 or 8, got it to the side of the boat and the knot broke when I grabbed my net. 100% my fault – should have retied after pulling that jig out of snags but man that hurt.

Just remember you canโ€™t win them all but overall youโ€™re very good and be thankful for that. The way I see it is get your head right because youโ€™re due for a big win

  2. First Kristine, you are an emotionally strong young lady. I admire the heck out of you. Im recovering from a serious illness and i stumbled upon you. I honestly think God gave us the need to pursue in order to teach us humility. Or maybe not! Who can say.
    You rock, remember that!!
The relationship with your Grandad, just brings on nostalgia. Mine are both gone now, I really miss their wisdom. Your Grandpa is such a big fan!! Any day you can pick up the phone and look to him for encouragement, is a blessed day.

  3. Thanks for sharing … the good and the bad … I feel for you – I had a tourney this past weekend and I lost 2 really good ones right at the net (smallies that jumped and spit the hook, literally right at the net) that would have helped me tremendously. But it's only one day, there will be more good ones in your future! Head up!

  4. Coach Kristine you are a legit fisherwoman. We are so proud of you, I hope you know the how good you do to us. Thank you for teaching and showing us the good days and specially the bad days on the water fishing. ๐ŸŒž
I appreciate you so much. You rock Kristine. Much love very mucho ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฃโค๏ธ
    You got this coach!!!! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

  5. With all due respect, and I do respect you alot, you MUST improve that hookset. You know better!!! You are a top notch angler, world class, who had a great hookset until the Dale Hollow tournament. The subscribers hammered you about it then, and the first two fish you lost in this vid had NO hookset whatsoever, you just came on back with your rod. I see this happen alot from people who have started fishing drop shots alot, like every time they go out. Feel the strike, reel up and jerk! HARD! Iโ€™ve seen you do so much better. Much love from Dale Hollow, Kristine!!

  6. ๐Ÿ˜‚ somedays you the big dog , somedays you the post . Cant win em all but you gave it hell . ๐Ÿ‘
You might not be the winner but you're a champ none the less .

  7. I'm sorry you felt as if you crumbled on this one. I noticed you didn't seem to be relaxed, and enjoying what we truly LIVE for. Fishing. You are a beast mama, and you'll bounce back.
I'll tell ya, I'd give my right arm to have a pedal kayak and be able to just be on gods beautiful water. I'll keep praying for it.
God is great and you are in his grace.
    Much respect.๐ŸŒป

  8. Imma blame the rod on all those lost fish including the last vid. There's just no way. I dunno for me I lose too much fish on my expensive spinning rod. Switched to st croix and softer rods(For my spinnning), and the difference is clear for me.

  9. Coming up a fish short and just outside the money is so frustrating. The only thing worse is losing a big money fish at the rail. But all it means is that youโ€™re human. Take heart from that. Better days are on the horizon.

  10. You said it, that call with your family at the end, man thatโ€™s all it takes some times. I enjoyed watching this video and seeing your struggles, but your chat with your โ€œpaโ€ at the end was just awesome.

  11. I'm not seeing a clear separation between observing the bite, the reel down, and the setting….As I appreciate your victories, I appreciate your openness to comments. How do you think you, could increase your ability to get that hook point through the gill plate?

  12. Sorry on that tough loss. You're a great inspiration no matter what! What advice do you have for someone entering her first tournament?! Also, do you know of anyone who is entering the Big Bass Bash at Grand Lake and would be willing to have a co-angler?! Thanks so much!! Oh, and if you ever want to make some extra money, I would love to take lessons from you!!

  13. Hey Kristine, tough luck on Kentucky Lake. This may not have any bearing on anything, but from watching your videos, I have seen you use two different types of hook-set. One you really rear back and really set the hook hard. Sometimes it seems like you are going to break the back of your seat off. The other type seems like just maintaining pressure and there doesn't seem to be any real hook set, just the pressure. Are there environmental circumstances that determine which you use? Things like type of bait, rod/reel/line combinations? Just curious. Thanks

  14. Damn grl I watch all your videos but this video thumbs down!!! Your fishing literally a rock and with a damn senko and neko rig all-day wondering why your big fish at lunch is 13 inch??? Lmao. Pls do better next time!! Go search new water….Find new area… something!! Rather see you blank and try to catch good ones then stay in area with no fish!!

  15. Just went through a month of that, totally get ya. Finally went out with dad in his boat and figured out that lake. But, like has been said, sometimes ya have to spin out to find that traction again. Good luck, tight lines and thank you.
