MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors.  I  have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

  1. You kinda seem to fish like it’s a lipless crankbait and a chatterbait at the same time. Where you constantly change cadence, speed and, movement, but constantly keep it doing something with sporadic momentary pauses and rips and pulls. Just constantly affecting what it’s doing.

  2. HH is one of my top 2 baits. Do you have any color recommendation for a certain water color? If that’s too much juice to give out I understand. Awesome video. Thanks Todd.

  3. After watching an earlier video, I ordered the rod ,line as recommended, I've always fished Lews reels and I that setup exceeded my expectations. Haven't thrown the shallow on it yet . Will cast the regular size a country mile. Your color preference for stained milky water would be which one. Thank you for such quality content.

  4. Ok your a great salesman i just bought 3 HH junior shallows in smooth, blk gold and, and chart black. Gonna try them on Conroe my home lake. It gets beat to death with bladed jigs.

  5. There's an inherent limitation in the kinds of design that one can do for the gear tackle fishing rod such as a bait casting fishing rod. As too many things about lures made for conventional gear tackle 'lean' too much on the idea of a tensioned line, pulling against a metal loop 'line tie', and that's it. What finesse solutions tried to do for gear anglers, was to try to branch away, or branch out from that first and most important limitation. In other words, to make a bait 'do something other', than what baits generally do.

  6. I guess this was for me i have 2 HH
1 jr. Still have yet to get bit. I fished it today for 45 mins in 2 foot of water and back of 3 coves. In a lake that has giants. Im gonna figure it out. Its personal😂

  7. Todd, Ive always used the lighter crankbait rods because its got treble hooks. How do you keep the fish pinned with the medium heavy rod that you said was like a swimbait rod? I always try to use lighter rods for anything with trebles and stiffer rods on baits with single hooks since they are harder for the fish to thrownthe hook if they manage to get a little slack and leverage.
