Huge Largemouth Bass on the Fly Rod Cricket

Captain Ken heads out fishing in the mid August heat of the central Florida Dog Days of summer to test some new fly designs on small bass and bluegill. Ignoring all he knows about catching big bass in Florida, he just wants to have some fish catching fun on one of the worst weather days for his style of fishing for largemouth bass. The weather conditions lead to a slow day of fishing, and the heavy wind gusts cause him to choose a heavier fly to get better presentations against the wind. Using an old favorite Cricket imitation, he puts in a tough day of fishing and is rewarded with being there at the right “time” at the right ”place” with the right “technique” (TPT) to catch a Monster Bass and some other great bass also.
