  1. Bank angler here no boat. Nice tips thanks. I must say that lake your fishing at looks great. The lakes I fish have no rocks, very, very little timber. Summer time the place is chocked off with weeds. Now, there's still thick scum mats in certain spots, but I can locate a few area's that are hard clay bottom. the rest of the bottom is silt grass. I've tried everything except…a jig. That will be my next move because the past 5 weeks I've caught one quarter pounder after doing very well this past spring, summer.

  2. Years ago, I saw and old man fishing on the bank and he was just casting his jig out over and over in the same general area and slowly dragging it back. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm feeling out the bottom". I go back to what I was doing as he makes more casts. After a few more minutes, I here him say "Oh, there you are!" as he's dragging his jig back in. Then on the next cast, Bam! he hooks a 5 pounder. I'll never forget that.

  3. Great Scott! This is going to level-up my fishing! The only information that has registered in my brain has been where the snags were. I’m going to pay a lot closer attention to the tactile clues from now on. Thank you!
