How to pitch and flip for big bass

Half of all the big bass I catch are by flipping and pitching. Here on lake Okeechobee, probably 75% of the big fish are caught this way when the water is at least 2.5 feet deep or deeper. Every bass area of the country has some real heavy cover that can be fished as well. Accuracy, power and a quiet presentation can be achieved to produce really outstanding big bass!

  1. I love this style of fishing. A great teacher is one who inspires people. I'm going out tomorrow to practice, and if I catch some then that's just gravey.

  2. If roland tells me to pitch a frying pan, I'd do it. He is the voice if authority. Love his shows. Love his expertise. Love his teaching.

Roland is hitting the Frisbee with almost every pitch and flip. Just amazing. Just subbed. Cuz the Master is speaking.

  3. I have searched YouTube for the secrets to Flipping/Pitching and pretty much all the videos forget to cover how to setup your Baitcaster for this technique. I wonder why? That is one of the most important aspects of being able to successfully achieve this skill. If you do not adjust your brakes or spool tension knob correctly and learn to use your thumb, you WILL NOT be able to pitch.

  4. Roland you do great videos keep up the great work I know youโ€™re a legend in the bass fishing community but you still do great videos and how to one of these days is my dream to fish with you and before I leave this shitty world Iโ€™m going to do it
