I put one on with just a hook, it floated?
Man how the f are you casting that light Luehr on a bait caster every time I try it doesn’t even go 10 feet😢 and I’ve done everything that every YouTuber has said to do to make your cast go farther and I do know how to use a bait caster
So wrong…The original Superfloaters from Missouri float like a cheese turd. They were designed without salt and meant to be used with a sliding sinker and mono.
No floating worm? Take a long syringe and push air from the bottom to the middle-top of the worm. Then pinch it (to prevent the air from escaping) as you slowly eject the syringe. You can also seal the exit point with a lighter.
The largest bass I’ve ever seen was caught on a pumpkin trick worm.
Old school trick worms are the bomb!
Yes
I do not personally believe there is any other lure on the market today that is More Versicle, Caught More Fish, won More Tournaments, or Created More Priceless Memories than a Soft Plastic Worm…
Just me but i like mono instead of braid and i definitely dont like a barrel swivel in the mix
I've been fishing this for a long time and didn't know it was a thing other people did. I just called it a weightless worm.
I use a finesse wide gap size 1 hook, it floats for me many fish on it
I rather rig mine wacky style with octo 1 ot hook and no leader on spinning rod
“Honestly, I got no clue”😂😂
I use 1/16 tungsten, Texas rig
Thank you for a great informative video. I learned more than I knew!
that trick with a coat hanger as a nail weight is great! I would've never thought of that
Thumbs up in the first 60 seconds for that explanation
So this is basically like fishing a fluke but instead of a fluke, it's a worm?
What is your favorite hook for worm fishing… Offset or EWG… 3/0, 4/0, 5/0???
Do you ever fish semi natural colored baits? Like Sprayed grass or Something
Please fill me in on the best flurocarbon line on a spinning rod for fishing texas rig or anything really …what brand of floro is the best for less ..line twists ..
I have learned so much about fishing by watching your videos over the last year. Tried the floating worm this weekend and never had so much success and fun out on the lake. Keep pushing out these amazing videos!
I just am totally happy watching you gene
Do you have a video on what different gear ratios mean on reels and when to use them?
Gene…how important is the Swivel with this setup.?
Learnt this technique back in the 1990s watching Roland Martin on tv… he called it "the bubble gum worm technique" & I have been using bubble gum-colored Zoom Trick worms ever since. Got some in my box right now.
The past couple of seasons I accidentally come to learn about the Zoom Floating Worm. My favorite colors are Black & White or the Creme Scoundrel Black with White Dots. Which is Worm that got me stared in this style of bait. However the Creme Scoundrel is near impossible to find in my area. I had one worm left and brought it into my local sporting good store and he pointed me to this Zoom Worm. Well isn’t a great worm. I just use a 3 or 4/0 worm hook or a EWG. Great technique.
I've used rage craw with no weight an it floated.
Man thank you for sharing these tricks. I put this on and caught several fish where I couldn't catch them before. I would really like to be able the pitch and flip this on a baitcaster. Is that doable? I was looking at getting the Piscifun Spark Pro cause that's my max budget really.
My favorite thing you said, and say often… "TRY THIS OUT. It ain't about me catching fish, it's about you knowing how to catch fish".
Thanks for the great videos and info
small weighted hook ok?
My brother Dennis Neal turned Ed Chambers owner of Zoom Trick Worm in the late 70's. He didn't invent the floating Worm but he invented the Trick Worm.
Z-man floats
I found floating worms last summer in Cabela's and it quickly became one of my favorite things to throw. (Probably cause I also like to throw weightless Texas rigs) LOL
What about fishing it in the kayak instead of a bass boat where you are sitting down
This should really just be called the improved weightless worm rig instead of floating. Use mono, a hook, and a Z-Man floating worm (key word floating) and guarantee you can fish it as a top water bait. I caught many fish last Summer with that rig
Yup, nothing like sticking it in the meaty part of the tail
