I caught my first tarpon in a freshwater spillway on double zoom fluke. 20 lb er. south florida c11 griffin canal
Talk about fish catcher. Try pink flukes in muddy water and man do they like it. I simply tie a power shot but instead of weight just another hook, zero issues.
Hey Scott, cool, rig up! Will this work for Walleye fishing? Fishing an extremely rocky bottom and have lost way too many jig heads to the rock monster bottom. Seems like a cool set up. Walleye thoughts?
Great tutorial! I fished it yesterday, and got a bite, using a slightly different setup. There was only 1 inch between the 2 flukes. Your setup is better with the wider gap. It gives the bass more time to be enticed by the second lure. Thank you!
Does this work on trout and in streams too?
Thanks for the tip scot and what a better place to show than at my home lake!
Never tried it before but I’m goin to try it Thanks
You’re the greatest teacher of rigging in the history of the planet earth thank you thank you thank you 🙏
Silly question … This rig isn't really for fluke or summer flounder like what we have up here on long Island. It's just the name of the rig, right?
Fluke up here are bottom fish … Which is what prompted the question. Rick
Thanks Scott for sharing the rig and technique, What a game changer!
Can you fish that rig in October and November in NC?
Great tip Scott …I’m just curious how you tied a palomar knot to a swivel that was already tied to your main line
Just tried this today, hooked up with a 9 pound hog.
Excellent. This is one of your best how to videos. Thankyou.
Is this legal to use in tournaments or is it outlawed like the Alabama rig?
Thanks for the tip! Caught a Giant Walleye on this rig today!
Can you weight this rig at all without causing problems?
love this rig, you can catch hybrid striped bass all day with that. When you get a double hook up, hold onto your rod, bc it will be insane!
it was A to Y awesome lesson and great techniqe, I cant wait to go on water and try it, I think it will be useful in night fishing as well.
That man Scott
How is he tying an in-line Palomar knot-can someone direct me to a YouTube video showing me how? Thanks
I bet he never uses that in competition…
Been fishing this for 20 years and the flukes shown here are to far apart… I like them to,slightly overlay one another (about an inch) and it looks like they are chasing something together…. they will also roll over each other’s back.. TRUST ME it is dynamite….
How do you tie a palomar onto both sides of a swivel?
My problem is I can NEVER find the right hook for a fluke. They always seem to stretch out the plastic and throw off the motion. Totally giving this a try though.
I remember watching this a while back.
Couldn’t find it now I can reference and build this rig 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Hai friends nice tips.. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video. I have just recently started using this setup thanks to seeing this have caught some really good fish on it but I have had better results letting it sink a little before working it back to me. Sometimes they want it worked fast others nice and slow.
Great technique Scott. I love fishing with Flukes, and I've GOT to try this the next time I go fishing. Thanks.
Super excellent congratulation
Just us an umbrella rig….
Too much work Scott…. LOL
Thanks for the headache…
Very informative video. Can't wait to try this setup. Thanks Scott.
Note to those “informed “ comments below – like a Carolina Rig, you cannot tie a double fluke rig that is not lengthy at the rod tip. You have to start off your cast with some lag similar to a fly fisherman. That’s why Scott is using 10# braid (very thin) on a long spinning rod. At least with a Carolina rig you have that heavy sinker to help things on your baitcaster.
I'm going to have to try this rig for speckled trout also.
Hi, Thanks for sharing, can the bait swim the way it swim under 5 feet of water ?
This rig is awesome, and have used it tons of times. I’ve had success at speed and skips well too
Is that a M or MH rod? When you set the hook does the line break? I have problems with line breaking with 20 lb braid. Power pro
Now put 6 flukes in a row and see what happens
This guy likes him a palomar knot
