How to fish moving water with topwater

After a 3 month, 5 foot drawdown, the stick marsh is being filled back up! Moving water with a jillion bass! My favorite technique is a slow moving topwater lure like the Spro pop 80 which casts like a bullet and with sharp gamakatsu hooks, it hooks most every bass. With proper conditions you might catch 50 bass in that moving water from 2-8 pounds! Now that’s really some of the most exciting visual action you will ever see!

  1. Have been following you Roland but it seems when you tend to mention where your bait is on your video I hardly can't see it could it be my device or its yours that you video with. I need to see how it moves and where exactly you would have thrown it besides that you say it where. Thanks still, maybe you need to tell your camera men to show more close to your baits sir

  2. Ya'll saw how excited Roland got by getting a topwater strike, well try to imagine how many top water strikes he has had in his lifetime. I'm 75 and I love fishing! genuinely love fishing but I have never fished a tournament in my life. It has been my hobby since I was 17. I have had so many top water strikes I can't even guess and yet Roland has guided, innumerable tournaments throughout his life, and has thousands and thousands of strikes on topwater plugs and still gets so exited over a topwater strike. It the real deal with Roland.

  3. whenever the management officials are moving the water around, the bait reacts, then the fish react. Roland's plug was the perfect choice for a moment like that because it looks like the small fish in the food chain.
