Summer has arrived and the fish are moving offshore so get ready! Its time to dust off those BIG worms and head out to the breaks and ledges! In Today’s video Tim explains the advantages of different worms, colors, and rigging methods.
Whether you are fishing for number or BIG bass, the Texas rigged worm or Carolina rigged worm is a great choice throughout the Summer months. These simple rigs produce both quantity AND quality consistently. If your goal is just to catch fish, you don’t even need dedicated gear for this technique.
Below is a break down of Tim’s favorite BIG worms and the gear he uses to fish them. Good luck on the water!

Man Tim how big is that worm 12 in Milton
The link doesn't work to Upton's. Where can I get them?
U like that big ten inch don’t u
How do i avoid alway getting caught up and getting snagged in rocks every time i fish Carolina or Texas rig in medium to large rocks. Any tricks. Thanks
Thank you for your knowledge, what color do you recommend when a lake is blue stoned?
Can you fish with big worms in the fall?
I used a shakey head this last week for the first time and couldn't keep the Bass off the hook every cast was getting hit!! glad I watched your videos and you guys are both very good at what you do!
Try the Mondo Worm. I’ve had success with it
U should do a review on googan baits
I really like the 784. When I got it I didn't think much of it. I was expecting off the charts sensitivity but it just felt average. Then I switched from a Curado 200i (7.5 oz) to the Curado 70xg (6.5 oz) and the ounce made a big difference.
Tim, I saw you with a Revo or something, that was in the 5 oz range. Perhaps reel weight should be mentioned when talking about pairing a set up for Rod sensitivity. I'm sure a lighter reel will help any Rod feel better.
I appreciate TB'
idk why this thought popped in my head….I wonder how many soft plastics and lures are at the bottom of your/my favorite lake? lol Tactical Bassin always good Knowledge!! Caught my PB on a big worm!
What's a OT hook??? Off set??
At a buck a worm (or more), it had better be fun! Hopefully Z-Man will make mondo worms so they last.
Big worms are now my absolute favorite to throw. At first I was seriously questioning it now I don’t think twice.
I absolutely hate throwing a big worm but it is a good way to catch big fish
I will totally be throwing these on some of our bigger reservoirs this year!! Thanks guys!
Tim, did you say welcome back to TACKLE BASSIN at the intro?…lol. great video guys! Thanks for all the tips
Anybody had luck throwing a ten inch worm on a shaky head in the winter?
Bass Pro Shops makes a great 10 inch worm , it’s actually one of the better things they do
Xcite baits are the best because it stands up like a ned rig when you pair it with a shaky head and its over 10 inches
the v&m wild thang is a great big worm i use it all the time
My dream combo… unfortunately my Curado K is sitting on the shelf. Gotta keep saving for the GLX
I caught my first bass was over 8lb when I was still in diaper age that's what hooked me lifetime of bass fishing on the big 13inch worm
Do a video on scents ? Do you and matt use any scents or garlic on worms jigs cranks what ever swimbaits? Do you have.better success at night with scent or without
Zoom Ol' Monster is killer here in Florida
Slug-Go. That’s all you need. look it up
Good vid uptons worms are awesome great guy to do business with
You guys are quickly becoming my favorite YouTube channel! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Keep up the great work.
Can you guys do some more in depth summertime night fishing videos? More so on what type of areas to concentrate on and what to really key in on?
Hey Matt, Try this out. Not saying it will work any where or for everybody. Put a chatter bait blade on a big 10 inch worm and rip it off the bottom and let it sink back down. Caught some good fish like that.
Hey Tim, I've found the Yum Punkin Ed Jig and I've used a 5/8 oz with a 6/0 hook and the Yum Mightee Worm 10.5 or Berkeley 12" and giant bass eat giant worms.I caught a 7.11 lb LMB at Kentucky Lake and you can cast those a mile haha… Way to got on 125 subscribers any minute now…

TB is killing it with the videos! Keep it up Tim and Matt!
Nothing "Little" about those worms! Nice video guys!
What about Doug Hannon’s, “fishing snake” ?
Always like your presentations been subscribed for a long time now. Thanks
My pb bass is on my profile pic caught in pa on a zoom mini lizard was 20+ inches sucked I did not have a scale
do you just hook the worm on a drop shot hook?
Nice video Tim, thank you… I am anxious to try these
I was wondering when those Upton's worms were going to make an appearance, nice!
Great tips. Look forward to use a big worm.
Thanks to Tactical I just caught my PB Large Mouth 6lbs 2oz. this is HUGE for my state of South Dakota. The state record is only 9lbs 3oz.I follow what you guys teach to the tea, without you I would have never ever caught this fish in a million years!!!! A huge thank you, Tim and Matt! A new South Dakota state record is on its way guys!!!!!!!
Talk about your camera gear
No xcite baits maximus 10.5? I love that bait, especially because it floats.
Going to big worms and jigs soon good reviews thank you
Matt, Tim. What are your thoughts about the state record largemouth in Wyoming being caught and killed instead of taking measurements, photos and doing the mount that way? Just curious.
Love throwing the magnum ol monster in the summertime especially at night!
I have the Manns worm but haven't used it yet. I'm going to put it on a carolina rig do I have to fish it deep?? I'm fishing from the bank where the water is @5feet deep n flat bottom.
Where has matt Allan been
