My favorite color fluke for bass fishing , as you’ll see in this video, is watermelon red.

I use 4/0-5/0 Owner twistLOCK light wire hooks. They keep the head of the bait in place so it doesn’t wad up on the hook.. I throw them weightless on 12-15lb fluorocarbon, medium heavy casting or medium spinning with 15lb braid to leader. For colors I like green pumpkin magic, watermelon magic and ham bone.. that’s how I do it! 🤷♂️😆

I actually tie a small loop not on a straight 4 ought hook. I just started using it a couple of years ago & man it really works great for me
classic vid always worth a revisit.. just bought some flukes gonna use em on Lake Moultrie in a few weeks .. wanna get that hump w hook under the surface.. hate when the fluke pops outta the water thx Chuck 👍

In the Netherlands fluke fishing is not populair.
I believe it is a good en different way of fishing.

I use the fluke flipped to hide the hook in between channel of the fluke Seem to last longer and stay with the hook . Instead of coming off and having to redo

Hey man try a motor oil chartreuse zoom worm on that same rigging and let it dead sink in the timber no weight. kill nice bass! Watch that line start to straighten out! Fish bites give him the onion real him inn!

By the way the visuals with the big bright fluffy clouds in the background and you kind of in the shadows were visually stunning.
Gonna try that way to rig it next time out. I always used the hook thru the belly and out the top. If it was rigged right it gave me the walk the dog action but if it got the slightest bit out of whack it would twirl back to the boat. Can't wait to try your method.
