How to cook Largemouth Bass

Ever wonder how to cook Largemouth Bass? It’s easy. All you need is some breading, salt & pepper or seasoning, lemon juice and a fryer.

DISCLAIMER: If you’re going to keep bass, keep the small ones (1-2 lb range). Throw the bigger ones back. Keeping the small ones actually helps the fishery and grows bigger bass by removing some of the competition for food.

  1. I've never eaten bass before until yesterday. Had a 2-3 lb largemouth completely swallow the hook so I brought it home. Gutted scaled and skinned one side. Cooked it whole with skin side down on the grill with lemon and Montreal steak seasoning. It was some of the best fish I've ever had.

  2. I kept my first bass today 15 inch 2.2 lb large. I kept it to eat it my friend was mad the last largemouth was 21.5 inch and 6.5lbs and i let it go not knowing it was a good eating fish so im gunna try this for my first!! Thank u

  3. Nice catch and cook. Those channels are awesome that you mentioned. I usually dont say I cook bass in front of serious bass fisherman, they get heated. I do it all the time when I get a good one. I love white fish meat for tacos, the best!

  4. Holy Cow!! I had no idea. I was a bit stunned watching the video. Thanks for the shout out and I'm very happy if you have been inspired in any way by me. Wooooooooooooooo! I've watched you grow and your vids are awesome and you deserve it greatly. Ok, now your vid. I catch bass from time to time but do not consider myself a bass fisherman. I have always wondered why bass fisherman don't harvest some of these smaller bass for the fryer. It's rare to see. You just made a batch of fish n' chips that made my mouth water. I don't think I've ever eaten bass before but I've heard it was awesome. If I ever get back in my yak again (still have knee trouble) Mr. Bass is going to be introduced to Mr. Deep Fryer.
