  1. Good tip with the bluegill is to trim that dorsal fin so it’s not sharp. They won’t live as long but they will have an erratic action and entice more bites. We do it for catfish and pike and always wind up getting a medium-big largemouth.

  2. Hello.. I have 3 ponds close at home. Filled to the brim with grass and weed. All the dams are FULL of grass with about 2 meters around the whole dam where its open. There are open patches here and there. Whenever I throw my live bait in these patches it seems to swim in the grass and it never comes out. I troed bobbers… sinkers(the sinkers makes the bait dead quickly) how would you go about fishing this? What rig? I have resorted to sight fishing when I see a bass but most of the time you dont see the big ones. Thanks!

  3. Lures are by far the most enjoyable way to catch bass. That said my pb on artificial lures is 6lbs. My pb on live bait is 13.8lbs. Just this morning I caught a 5,7 and a 9lber. Its not technically legal to use trout as bait here but if no ones in the forest when the tree falls does anyone hear the sound? We're allowed to keep 8 trout so if its my trout to keep it doesn't make sense I can't fish with it. Oh yea. A tip on using live bluegill. Take scissors and cut the top spines off. Way better hook up ratio. And I use a treble hook in the nose with two points up and one in through the top nostril and out the mouth so they can still open their mouths and live longer.

  4. Big shiner is the best bait to catch a big bass. I have bass fished in Florida and Georgia for over 50 years and.most of fish I have caught over 8 lbs have been on large wild shiner s. I have caught a lot of them. This guy is dead on. You might troll a big shiner for hour or two . I like to use a 6500 ambassador with clicker and heavy ugly stick 17 or twenty mono. I will use a cork but usually troll flatline across ledges and humps.

  5. Well it happened again. I was gonna take a day off to just be lazy and sure enough watched your video and I’m packing up my gear to head to the water! Haha. Great fun video as always🐟😊

  6. All fish eat other fishes eggs..but shiners are notorious for eating. BAss eggs.not to mention they are shiny and slender..if you have watched bass spawn in waters where they live..you have seen those same schools of shiners running in and out of bass beds in swarms..I think that is why they do better for catching bass
