I switch to a jig head wacky rig and catch another bass! Finally I try a weightless Texas Rig and catch yet another bass! Great job Alex! If I'd have to guess I'd guess the bass fishing will still be up and down for another month or so until the weather is steady. By me we still have to lose our ice first but they're very catchable once the ice leaves the lakes using lipless crank baits. The worm bite doesn't pick up until mid May most years!

I don't go too far away from home, I'd hate to waste time and money to get skunked, but in this situation it paid out for you.
As soon as things settle down a bit, gonna get out there and start exploring new waters! Think we may start doing a little tailrace fishing round the damns, should be starting to "warm up" there pretty soon!

Good looking and healthy bass. I've caught a few dinky bass the other day, way smaller than yours, from a local creek. Just using nightcrawlers as bait. KIR.
How you getting bites at this time of year? I live in central and got 0 bites after 40 minutes there. Was about 45-50 degrees that day.

Good one. Love the pre-spawn. I tried my local lake, but got nothing but trout. I did see a turtle swimming around, so the water is definitely getting warmer. Soft plastics is my go to rig.🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟

You caught more than I did on my last trip. One nice bluegill,one average sized snapping cooter and a brand new abu Garcia max combo fished out haha
I also had a good day of bass fishing today. Used a Zoom watermelon chartreuse senko and the fish just couldn’t stay in the water!!
