  1. Large mouth will eat just about anything they can fit in their mouths, but stripper are more picky. I have used hundreds upon hundreds of lures from cheap crank baits to $120 glide baits and only a couple really work well. Like one is a chrome blue and silver top water plugs about 7 inches. I medium pace retrieve and pop it very fast. Also I have a $25 green and white swimbaits that works great! Flukes are reliable but I don't like using them because I can't cast far with them. But really about 90 percent of our strippers are on live herring that we hook through the nose and troll out the back like 60 feet out at 0.5 mph. On a bad day we catch about 5 stipper an ok day is 8 and good is 12+ and if they are really schooling like at least 20

  2. I wanted to start to catch stripe bass in fresh water but I don’t know where to find them and all the best lures to catch them can anyone give me some advice please body of water st Lawrence river / marina de cap rouge
