How To Catch More Bass In Late Summer (Tips & Tricks)
Late summer can be a great time to catch bass, but as summer starts winding down, I find myself reaching for a different mix of baits and techniques.
In this video, I’ll show you some of my favorite late summer bass fishing tips and tricks, including how I use frogs, Whopper Ploppers, buzzbaits, shallow-running crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, the Rapala J11, and flukes.
I’ll also show you a few little things that can make a big difference, like how to tune a Spro Fat John 60, adding a split ring to the front of a Rapala J11 to get it swimming properly, how I retrieve it as a wakebait, and different ways to rig a fluke to change its action.
These aren’t exclusively late summer baits — they’re simply some of the baits and techniques I find myself relying on as summer starts to fade and we get closer to fall.
I’ll have links to the baits and tackle I use in the description if you want to check them out. Using those links to purchase anything you might need is the best way to support the channel, and I really appreciate everyone who’s done that.
Thanks for watching and supporting Pond Bassin’!
