MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors.  I  have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

  1. Thanks for talking about that, I know I asked about this in another video. First of all thanks for the bait ideas because to be honest I fish a lot behind someone else in the boat and there is not much I can fish that fast and still actually catch a fish. I have a shallow crank I like to fish that fast with, and a fluke and I guess a buzzbait are the only real choices. I have to admit that is not really my wheel house, but thanks for your ideas.

  2. The TVA was originally created under the FDR early years for flood control and power generation. The highland reservoirs move the most, 20-30 feet variations can be the norm. The main river reservoirs, such as Chickamauga move only 7-8 feet. During drawdown, the fish are in more obvious places, to me anyway. Thanks for your explanation.

  3. Why did you specifically exclude spinnerbaits and chatter baits near the end? Do you feel as if you can’t cover as much water with them for some reason, or something with fishing pressure?

  4. Here in Ky, Barren, Green, Nolin, and Rough all are drawn down several feet. Barren for example, is pooled in winter 24' below summer pool, and falls slowly from mid September until Oct 15 or so, then they pull the plug on it! Lol. I LOVE fishing the headwaters and upper reaches of the lakes when they do this. Topwaters definitely!!! Buzzbaits. Burning chatterbaits around shad schools, burning spinnerbaits, even dragging giant paddletail worms, 12-16" around channel edge stumps as long as water is on em.
