OK, so I bought the poppers and leaders from Red's, just like Joe used. Got them this week. Set it all up this morning and headed out in my kayak. I used his retrieve technique and WHAM! my 1st smallie on a fly rod. Hooked it in the upper lip. Nice catch & release. What a thrill. Felt like a 10-year-old out there.
