  1. Scott, I grew up learning new techniques to catch bass from your Dad and other greats like him. You, my friend, remind me so much of those weekend morning fishing shows, watching your Dad simplify and explain ways to catch big bass. You are keeping up the tradition. God Bless your incredible family. So much fishing history is owed to the Martins!! Thank you!

  2. I was just drop shot fishing over the weekend clear water 12lb mono that all I had with me between the bait not moving natural and the mono I seen a couple big bass come up to it and turned it down it make since looking back at it I’m having too thick of fishing line on

  3. Most of what he’s telling you is correct for Florida. But if you come out to California or any for elsewhere you’re doing true finesse fishing you’re not using 10 pound test, it’s 6 or 8 or even 5. And you’re also not choosing your rod based on the worm you’re choosing your rod based on the hook. If you use a medium heavy rod and the drag is too tight with a little hook you’ll rip that hook out of the fish’s mouth. Unfortunately Mr. Bassmaster elite is not giving you the full deal! And traditionally it’s a med light or med rod. Otherwise you can’t cast the bait or get the sensitivity you need. His advice is good for Florida!

  4. I use 20 lb test trilene big game mono.. 2/0 heavy short shank hook… I caught over 50 bass up to 10 lbs last week… in one day .. on a heavily fished river … 5 ' visibility…

  5. I haven't ever caught a bass on a worm larger than a 7"" worm. Fishing in East Texas. I Keep hearing big huge worms are the way to go during the summer. I just can't get bit on them..

  6. Hands down my favorite is the BANDITO BUG Blue Baby. The Bug's the drug 👏🔥. Then followed by the Swim Worm. Depending how you fish, you can have all 3 water columns covered with 1 or 2 baits 😊. Those 2 let me pack light for bank fishing times when I carry my stuff from spot to spot around ponds and lakes.

  7. Great video Scott! Your videos are always very educational and informative and I always watch them when I wanna learn a new technique I havent tried! I will be trying this dropshot rig in a new rock quarry i found here in Florida! Thanks again!
