Great action Rob! Your engine problem may be sediment building up in the water line inside the Vapor Separator Tank (VST). When this happens, there's little to no water flow to the EMM causing it to heat up and go into limp mode. Over time, this may damage the EMM. So, disconnect the water line from the VST and flush it out. Sometimes, you will replace thermostats before realizing this simple problem. Hope this helps!

Good job nice work on the stripers love jigging it’s a blast and your boat may be getting overheated from the thermostats, Change your thermostats out. Sometimes my boats thermostats gets stuck the same way your thermostats get stuck .I would check thermostats It may be some gravel or sand in the thermostats to.I would check those first.
