How I Finally Started Catching Bass in Irish Estuaries
Estuary bass fishing in Ireland is one of the most technical and rewarding styles of fishing you can do on this island. In this video I break down everything I’ve learned chasing bass through Irish estuaries — reading the water, lure selection, tactics and how to adapt when the fish aren’t playing ball.
I fish a stretch of South East Irish coastline that I’ve been studying for a while now. The estuary throws up its challenges but the knowledge you gain from fishing these marks properly is invaluable. We cover creature baits, sand eel imitations, topwater and everything in between.
We finish out on the rocks and manage to get a bass — proof that sometimes you just need to read the situation, adapt and move with the tide.
