Highway 395 – Scenic Drive and Good Times Bonus Bass Fishing!
The annual Eastern Sierra family adventure is officially underway!
In this episode of Skiffin’ Around, we’re hitting the road for a week-long family vacation to Crowley and Mammoth Lakes. Before we reach our destination, we make a stop at a hidden pond off Highway 395 to chase some largemouth bass and land a good one.
No Highway 395 road trip is complete without a few great food and drink stops, so we kick off our Eastern Sierra Ale Trail with visits to Owens River Distilling Company and Mountain Rambler Brewing to stock up on some beverages for the upcoming week. Then grab an incredible sandwich and some bacon from Mahogany Smoked Meats.
After clearing the mandatory boat mussel inspection, we finally arrive at Crowley Lake, launch the boat, and tie it up in the slip where it’ll be our home base for an unforgettable week of fishing and family fun.
This is just the beginning! Stay tuned as we share the rest of our Eastern Sierra adventure, including fishing Crowley Lake, exploring Mammoth, family activities, and everything that makes this one of our favorite trips of the year.
