Never had one yet. My friend said that the worst part is a waking up to a bunch of strangers laughing and having a good time. While checking out your ass.
They do have pills had to take 3 horse pills then few hours later took 3 more they clean ya out I was getting worried they may have dissolved some organs or something where did all that come from ? I got food poison shut my stomach off couldn't poop or puke ended up in ER bad deal that's why I had mine done no problems. Not fun but important to do.

i dont have acess to doctors- count yourself lucky. all i do is research my own health since i got sick& lost all but my woman, my home, and my life.
Did you ask the doctor to use his intuition? Or did you allow him to use modern technology?
Sounds like you used the old school stuff. New preps do not have that large amounts of drink.
Reading on online about your health is like listening to a lot of YouTube channels about fishing. Most of it is bullshit! I’ve taken a lot of fishing advice from you so let me give you some advice. Don’t mess around with a disc issue. I injured my back years ago while on active duty, and didn’t do anything about it for years after retirement. I’m paying for today!

Get the annual check-up. 9 years ago, they found a lump that ended up being thyroid cancer. I had no symptoms.

Been there done that several times! My earliest ones were just as you described. My latest ones have been different in what I have to drink. It’s a powder you put in gatoraid. You have to use a color/flavor other than red or orange. It’s still not pleasant but substantially better than that bitter nasty stuff you had to drink.
Just be happy they did not use forward facing sonar on you , that would be worst thing that could be done on you! Just jokeing old man. 7:12

Sorry Randy, Getting old sucks, Hospitals are a living hell, Stay healthy and don't use the internet for health guidance, I just had Open Heart an additiona 3 stints and a carotid surgery, Just keep casting
Had my first scope after they told me I had Diverticulitis in the ER after a CT scan. The Dr said "You don't need a scope until your 45 unless you really want one." I told em I did so I got a scope two months later at age 43 and sure enough had Colon Cancer instead of Diverticulitis. Trust your gut instincts and don't take everything a Dr says to be exactly right. Now I'm 44 just had my 9th round of chemo because a CT "Showed that I had Diverticulitis." Had I listened and waited until I was 45 I would have never made it that long. If anyone out there feels like they have something going on Do Not Wait until 50 to get a scope, that would be my advise.

You can pay an extra $100 and get a what's called "super prep". Much less to drink and works very very fast!
At 76, used 3 times,the doctor suggests Cologuard. At-home colon cancer testing starts a 45+. The only way to "go".
At 70, I've had 4 and they do have pills instead of the liquid. I recommend every person over 50 to get one.

They do make pills now but they make some people nauseous. Just pills and straight water lots of water. Better than the stuff you had to drink. Take care
For the prep there are 2 options… the nasty drink & a pills option. If you don’t request the pills they almost always prescribe the drink. The pills work great & clean you out just the same as the drink without the bad taste as you just need to drink a bunch of water when you take them.
ER nurse here. Men should have their first colonoscopy at age 45. Colon cancer is preventable with a colonoscopy. It typically spreads to the lungs and liver, which is *NOT* a good way to die.
Dont screw around with your life. Get a colonoscopy, and get one as frequently as your doctor recommends

My prep drink was mixed with Gatorade and done just the evening before. Might want to check with a different doctor for a different prep. Other than needing to be close to a toilet, the process was not that bad. Hope you stay well.

There is a difference between a herniated disc and a ruptured disc. A herniated disc "bulges" like a truck tire that is low on air. A ruptured disc is one that has "blown out" where the inner gelatinous substance actually leaks out of the disc. My chiropractor told me that when most ruptured discs occur they are almost always accompanied by a sharp stinging or fiery hot sensation at the immediate location of the rupturing.
One of the best cures for lower and upper back pain is what is called Apitherapy. Apitherapy has been practiced for thousands of years by the Asians and also dating back to ancient Egypt. I have used Apitherapy to treat my lower back and hip pain and have had very excellent results in doing so.

Disc issues are related to dehydration. You can drink water all day but if you are not absorbing it it won't matter. Healing the gut lining is very important to maintain the body.

Get yourself healthy Randy. Back pain is awful, I had lower back issues for years. It's still screwed up but when I hurt my neck I went to physical therapy they told me to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs, one in front of me and one that's just thick enough for my neck to be straight. It made a huge difference in my lower back. Really huge. It still hurts occasionally but not nearly like before.

I don't even like you but I have had those a few times in my life is excruciating whenever you move a certain way I pulled muscle will not get better buy stretching lay around the house for a week or two. Try not to bend the way that hurts
Colonoscopy saved me at 40 for I’m now 50. They removed my cancer at 40 and no chemo and still living. Don’t not do it. DO IT. No cancer after 10 years. If I waited until 50 I would have been dead. No laughing or no questions.
