Great day Frog fishing

A father and son team, Jimmy and Patrick Skiles, from Louisiana really lit up the big bass on Headwaters Lake mainly on frogs! Working a Spro pop 60 black frog slowly along the many irrigation ditches really paid off! The hydrilla grows on the edges of the ditches in2-5 feet of water and the big bass are there as well. Just about the best frog day of the year with about a dozen from 5-9 pounds! As a quide it’s great to have really good fishermen like Mr Jimmy and his Son Patrick who is a lawyer as well.

  1. Pops. When you said the biggest bass you caught and won tournaments on was dragging the bottom. I decided to teach myself how to drag the bottom with a Yamamoto senko green pumpkin plastic worm. That couldnt be furthest from the truth. I was hammering bass when nobody else was catching them. They where nice fish too. Thank you. I appreciate you and your family’s channels
