  1. I really appreciate how many catch and release anglers have taken on the responsibility for maintaining the species, making sure that if they catch a bedding fish, they immediately return it to the bed. There are so many little things that have become a part of fishing culture over the past 30 years that really make me proud to be a fisherman, and this is definitely one of them. That and the fact that hardly anyone shows up to the dock with a stringer full of bass anymore, or if they do, they're almost always < 2lbs.

  2. Gravel pits are good for fishing but you have to be careful they are technically off limits, my neighbor went to the one behind my house and was fined $500 for trespassing

  3. Love fishing quarry’s i have 4 next to each other that i fish one has mostly largemouth and smallmouth but all the others just smallies ,I caught the fattest smallmouth about a month ago 22 inches id guess over 7 pounds and see 8-10 pound largemouths on the regular just cruising by the rocks
