What an Epic day out fishing on Folsom Lake, I think it was the funnest day I’ve ever had fishing Folsom Lake. For over 90 minutes I got a bass or a bite on every single cast.
I’m done with GoPro, I bought a DJI Osmo camera today and will not use GoPro again. My GoPro Hero 10 and Hero 9 both lock up every single trip and screw up something. I make sure to check the red blinking light to make sure it’s recording but it doesn’t record when it doesn’t want to. I’ve tried multiple SD cards, updated the latest software, now its time to try a new camera.
I tried shallow for an hour upon arrival with crankbaits, jerkbaits and keitechs and not a single bite. I tried rocks, secondary points shallow ledges and nothing. Moved out deeper and found them staging on a ledge in 20-30ft on the Peninsula.
Got bit on a 3/8th oz finesse jig, prism shad 4″ roboworm and Berkley’s flat work in the shad color.
Best 5 weighed in at 12.31lbs.

Man, I hate technology. I have been wanting a DJI Osmo. I am not a jig guy at all. I have caught a couple bass on it and those fish hit HARD. It looks like the fishing is turning around over there.
Great fishing tips. Was just about to buy some GoPros. Glad I didn’t. Thanks for the heads up.
Right on man. Nice to see someone out there catching them.
