In this episode, I set out to fish the power station in search for some Monster Smallmouth Bass!
I tried a few different lures like the Berkley Power Minnow on a jighead and a bait called Swim Bento, made by Lunker hunt but the fish weren’t interested. I decided to switch to something brighter. It was an orange Bluefox inline spinner #4 size, which started to produce some fish.
After a while, I noticed a lure in my backpack my Wife had picked up from the dollar store. It was a big silver coloured spoon called Tornado! Surprisingly, it felt like it was a good weight and quality and spun well in the current, so I chucked it out. To my Surprise, I was hooked up on the first cast with a Personal best Smallmouth Bass!
Never underestimate the Dollar store lures I guess! LOL
