The wild part about reading the comment section is people saying they can’t watch an angler staring down at a screen 😂. There is literally no difference when watching fishing on TV, you tube etc. your perspective is the angler who has his back turned . Whether they are looking at a screen or beating the back it’s the same view . If you don’t like FFS then say so but making it about what they are watching is nonsense. And to be honest I watch fishing to see catches🤷🏽♂️
I can’t find to mooch minnow anywhere but I use the freeloader & without FFS it works amazingly! I would love to find the mooch minnow
Pros aren’t going to turn on it. I don’t think it’s fishing but if I’m up against 30 boats that have it, then why would I compete without the same edge and chances that everyone else has ? The industry isn’t worried about people not watching tournaments haha you’re still going to the store and buying plenty of products so what do they care.

Use FFS in practice for solid info, for the shows sake. But not in tournaments where kids are smashing life long hammers. It fundamentally changed pro fishing for the worse.
Sometimes I think the essence of the sport is the wide selection of techniques, unique to Largemouth Bass fishing. If crappie jigs and ultrasound are the future, I'm history, and so are you guys, unfortunately.

How could you say kvd was magic because he was smashing them with his crank baits? Look at this a little deaper, he was the main tester for hummingbird back in 2012? So it would be safe to say he was using the first side imaging 3 years before anyone even had the thought of it or even seen it around 2015. So watching back films of him spot casting his cranks and magical fish were at the end of his casts, just makes me laugh. Now everyone is beating up the same technology because the kids are catching on spot casts for doing what Kevin was doing under his hat 10 years prior with side imaging. So, saying, century belts do not qualify anymore for catching 100 lbs. Then, maybe the standard needs to be set higher? And calling Kevin the goat? For what? Using new technology that wasn't available to the rest of the competition?
The idea that ffs ruining bass fishing or that it is discrediting KVD and others is just plane wrong. If you think that then you must also think the advantages that KVD had with lake mapping (1ft contours) that no one else had on tour prior was discrediting. GPS with accurate mapping has changed the game more than anything. I don’t remember hearing all the hate back then about the advance tech. KVD also got map updates ahead of others he was fishing against due to his sponsorships and who he was. He knew about many offshore spots ahead of his competition due to this advantage.
In 2021 when FFS was getting really big my friend Clay Johns fished the MLF opens and qualified to fish the tour and he did it by fishing 8’ of water or less. He was also using a frog in most of the tournaments even on smallmouth lakes. He ended up winning rookie of the year that year and like I said he never left the bank. So fishing the bank is still a good way to win you just have to be committed to it and not give up a hour or so into the day just because you have not caught a limit yet.

Fisherman need to stick together. Whether you are noodling, trot lining, traditional fishing, or using electronics we all need to stick together. I promise you the left wing woke agenda is trying to take everyone’s fishing rights. Don’t let people style of fishing divide us. Bass fishing is a catch and release sport for most.
Watchin BASS live is over for me. I refuse to renew membership. Im done until FFS is taken off the boats. If not. I really dont care. Im fishin and enjoying life. You are a heck of a stick and can ketchum without it.

Its sad the direction it has takin the sport. These guys fighting for ffs to compete to make money will be scratching there heads when they cant get sponsors to survive in a sport that is reliant on sponsors! Everyone is using the aluminum bat as a comparison. Its more like give them a aluminum bat and give the batter a pitch com like the catcher so you know exactly what pitch is coming for the batter to hit! Just ask the cheating astros how well that works to hit the ball. No different than giving a pro bass fisherman FFS!
I don't think it should be allowed in tournaments. But the reason it is, is because it gets the average fisherman into thinking that's what he needs to help him catch more fish. So if Joe fisherman sees the pro's using it, then he'll go out & buy one.

No, it is ruining bass fishing – I realize that this world is always changing but that doesn't mean that it is for the better. You hit the nail on the head but then you hit stopped hitting. That magic box is doing all the catching not the fisherman and you can argue all you want but the truth sometimes hurts. Ban it – period.
103 anglers fishing the elites and 99% have FFS. How come if it’s so good they’re all not tied at the end of the tournament? Somebody’s going to get them and the rest aren’t with or without FFS. Your brain is the best tool we have! Let’s think about how to win, not why someone else did.

Watching a live tournament where FFS is being used is boring, B.A.S.S is losing viewers. These "kids" are not anglers, they're video gamers with NO bass catching ability.
I think that there would be a fair number of guys would be in a different line of work if you took that big screen off the front of the boat

For me it takes away the excitement of not knowing the fish are there and all of a sudden the robots. Its hard to watch. It also will help poachers to succeed. Like these guys caught 88 white bass over the limit leading to less fish in our water systems.

I fish with depth finders my dad gave me from 15 years ago. They have down imagine and GPS that's it. As long as i kno the layout of the lake and the depth abd current temp im good to go

It’s garbage. I have not watched a BASS event since this FFS has started. It’s actually pathetic and should be banned from everywhere including non tournaments. The crappie population is also being decimated. It’s all about greed! Sorry BASS or MLF. Go out of business if you support this garbage.
KVD was KVD because he had technology years before everyone else could even buy it. IMO, at least now everyone has access to FFS. People forget that.
Watch where the sponsorships go in the future. Will they spend money on the skilled experience dude with 20K social media followers or the young dude that can't put a fish in the boat without electronics but has 500k followers? Exactly! All about marketing, no longer about the sport. Considering using FFS fishing and a real sport is like calling dudes shooting hogs from a helicopter "hunters".
Well actually it's the fishermen who are using this instead of going fishing thier own fault. Greed is ugly.
i don't mind people using FFS i use it everytime i go fishing, but i quite watching the bassmasters and professional fishing as a whole just because i don't enjoy watching someone use FFS because it's extremely boring to watch
