Foreign Lure Fishing Challenge – Bass Fishing with JAPANESE Lures

I came across some Japanese Fishing Lures and challenged myself to a foreign lure fishing challenge. I am going after largemouth bass today with a Jackall Cross Tail Shad. According to the Jackall website, the CrossTail Shad lure is one of their first fishing lures. I am fishing with the 4″ version today on my $15 combo. I actually manage to cat a few bass on the small soft plastic. I am amazed by the softness of this lure, it almost seems too soft. I go through quite a few of them on this trip. The real challenge here is keeping the Crosstail Shad on the hook. All in all, I like the Jackall Crosstail Shad from Japan. It caught fish despite being so soft. I would consider this bass fishing challenge complete!

  1. Sup Alex. Great video. Some nice bass! Guess those Japanese baits work. I think they use leaf blower early hoping not many people so they can blow any trash into woods instead of picking up the trash? That's 2 hours could actually pick up trash! Yea some plastic baits are much softer and don't last? Is that the salt? Always wondered??

  2. I fish with heavy braid so I can turn over rocks or logs I get snagged on, I honestly can't think of why someone would leave 100ft of line that cost 20-30 dollars a spool.

  3. I just saw these the other day at a store before I saw tbis. Thought they would be a good drop shot bait. Maybe not if they are that soft. The freaking blue gills would steal it. Might work for bass. Great video on these baits. Thank you

  4. I laughed so hard I had tears man. Guy thinks he's going to have a great relaxing morning of fishing and boom a leaf blower and a dude getting paid by the hour.
