I never tried bass with a fly rod but I've got plenty of bream back in the day, and back in the 80s my older brother had the automatic one it has a lil lever that would pull the line in fast like a tape measure i use to sneak and borrow his because my hand crank model was no fun lol great childhood memories watching this video .
Love seeing people fly fish for bass, you just don't see that much anymore. Big poppers sound so cool when you pull them up just right

I was fishing during the eclips in ohio. It got dark out, such a cool experience. It also shut the fish off as well. They were on fire the day before and not much action yesterday
