Even though I didn’t catch any giants, this was one of my best days of fishing in 2024. The weather was beautiful and that means a bit more this time of year when you know we’re quickly running out of that type of weather. I caught a total of 15 bass and 9 of them were between 3.0 lbs and 3.7 lbs. That’s the most Largemouth I’ve ever caught in that size range in a single day! My best 5 bass weighed 17 lbs. This is a video of the first 4 bass I caught in that size range that day. I was on the water at 11:30 am. I started the day thinking the Jig would be the deal, but I didn’t get bit on it for a while and ended up cycling through several baits until I finally landed back on the jig. As a matter of fact, I catch the first bass on this video on a deep-diving crankbait at 2pm (3.1 lbs). I catch all the others on a jig, 3.0 lbs at 2:41pm, 3.3 lbs at 2:26pm, 3.7 lbs at 3pm.
