What’s your favorite topwater bait?
I've gotten bit by the top water bite as of late . My fave is the googan two step in the black and green chartreuse ,and they're wake banger.

Probably a whopper plopper and popper are my go to top water but I do like them all. Walk bait,frog,buzz…. you name it.

I recently started watching Logan’s fishing content because it was recommended to me by YouTube and I’m glad I stuck around, this man don’t miss and knows how to make entertaining fishing videos.
Pretty sure the world record large mouth was caught using a jitterbug, back in the 1930s or whatever it was..
Never sleep on the old school topwaters. They still out perform modern baits for a reason. I caught many 6+ pounders on those Hula poppers in the 90's.

I would say my fav topwater lure is #1 the buzzbait but i have a list i love to tgrough lol.
A little knowledge for ya. The torpedo is where the idea for the whopper plopper came from. It's the first topwater plopper style bait to exist lol. And it definitely works well.

Another great video. My go to topwater is the Berkeley Choppo and the OG Pop-r
I would say when it comes to hard baits (in-line spinner aside) I have caught more fish off of the Pop R and Zara puppy/spook than anything. On Lake Sinclair I used to tear them up with a Rebel Pop R and It’s hard to beat a pencil/spook style lure anywhere.

Favorite bait for big strikes has got to be the bigger Zara Spook like you used but I also love The Sixth Sense speed wake and get some really big strikes🐟👍💯
