Fishing Upper Coliban Reservoir and Exceeding My Modest Expectations

After some fantastic fishing at Upper Coliban Reservoir late last year, a few recent trips there have been challenging. Water levels are very low and good quality fish have been difficult to find. I know there are a few occasional good fish still being caught there, but mainly by people who are putting in many hours on the water and enduring several “donut” sessions. However, after hooking and then losing a hard fighting fish during my last trip there, I was prepared to give it one more try! I went into the trip with modest expectations. Thankfully though, these expectations were exceeded!
