The Albemarle Sound in NC! Practice for the MLF Bass Pro Tour at Chowan River included some time in the ‘out-of-bounds’ waters. This place is MASSIVE and so much great fishing!!! #bassfishing #fishing #majorleaguefishing #bassprotour #AlbemarleSound #NorthCarolina #chowanriver

Been fishing there 35 yrs.
1.9 million acres including Chowan,RR basin to kitty hawk bay..past 32 bridge in the Albemarle sound is just as good if not better. I was told MLF signed the venue there for the next few yrs. Yall come earlier in the yr & you had better trailer or yall will find out how rough that sound can be. Most of us has had back surgery.
What happened to Zach Birge ?
Brent I loveyoure content but I don't watch the circuits anymore so tired of live scope winning everything.
Which speed demon rod do you use for buzzbaits?
What a tournament! Drew Gill pulled it out. The VA Elite 70s were down there earlier this year also. Beautiful place!!
I think the weights were fairly decent in tourney, considering it was june. Im like the other guy i hope if MLF comes back it is a little earlier in the year. All in all i think the river put out some good fish and numbers. Just remember if u come back, Roanoke river is really good if water is high and falling up near 17 bridge. The black water in the creeks will mix with the river. When its gets like that 80 to 100 fish a day is easy. Good luck on the rest of the year.
I watched all of the coverage. Im from NC but not a local. I wish they would have brought you guys here in march or april. Timing was off some to see full potential. I also wish they would have opened up more of the other rivers and sound for yall to fish. It would add an interesting dynamic that you dont see in most bass tournaments. Typically the roanoke and chowan have the biggest bass but also get the most pressure. Alligator river has giants too.
