Dense fog waited right at the coastline, but visibility was just enough to let me get out to try some of my favorite spots. I started off fishing a shipwreck in 70′ of water, and the calico and sand bass were on the chew! There was almost no current, so I dropped down to a 1/2oz leadhead and #20 florocarbon leader.
After a fast-paced hour of bass fishing, I headed off to the Horseshoe Kelp, where the barracuda had been for the past few weeks. Visibility dropped to about 100 yards, and I decided to troll to locate some fish. I inadvertently stumbled on three boats that were anchored in a U shape (with me in the middle), so I decided to shut down and drift.
Pretty coo, Matt!
