FISHING THE FLORIDA FREEZE?! π₯Ά (New Smyrna Beach ICW Challenge)
Think fishing in Florida is always sunshine and palm trees? Think again. π₯Ά
A massive cold front just slammed into New Smyrna Beach, sending temperatures plummeting into the 20s. In this episode, weβre out on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to see if we can even find a bite when the water turns to ice.
The conditions were brutal and the fishing was some of the most challenging Iβve faced all year. We threw everything at them:
Trolling the channels to find active schools.
Jigging tight to frozen docks and mangroves.
Dropping pinfish around the bridge pilings.
It was a grind from start to finish, but thatβs the reality of winter fishing in Florida! Despite the frostbite, it was a great day to be on the water. We managed to pull one solid keeper Sheepshead out of the wreckage to avoid the skunk.
