Fishing Swimbaits for late summer bass is always a sure way to find some good quality bass. Once summer kicks in and through into early Fall, I will wake the baits for a little bit of the retrieve and then crank down for the rest and this combination allows me to fish both parts of the water column that I personally want to target. Sure, I could pick up a jig and slay some fish from the bottom, but that’s just not as fun for me personally. I’d rather try some big baits and find some big bites on them if I can.
