Hi Hawkeye. I know this is an old video, but I really felt your pain. I am new to Fishing Planet (just made lvl 9), I am learning a lot from your early videos. Thank you!
Most of you if you are able,need to go fishing for real. You will understand why landing a 10 pound anything on a 4 pound line is not only possible but you need to set drag down to zero to get it to the net. You break pole if you don't. This game is fun if you understand fishing but if your a gamer then you won't like it because you can catch any freshwater fish on any test line on any rod reel combo. But you get bored to easy and think leveling up with vests and lights is neccessary. It isn't. Just fish.
Your drag is too loose
One thing i hate about watching these videos, is if you stop fucking reeling when the drag kicks off, (hold that strike button don't let go) the fish won't take off with near as much line, you'll spend less repairing your reel, and you'll fight 2/3 less time…you can always tell who actually fishes, and who just plays fishing games..

What is the best bait for big largemouth bass or for trophy bowfins?
That was a trophy bowfin. Around 10 pounds or more. You had your reel setting wrong. I caught a 10 pounder with a light action pole and a reel with 7.7 lbs of drag but it did take about 5 minutes to get in.
Is it possible to catch a trophy with a casting pole in that area instead of a float pole?

come on dude…it wasn't just heavier rod that did it….first attempt your rod, line and reel where on 80+% reliable….I've found keeping your equipment in good 90% + shape and condition makes huge difference….repair or replace your equipment!!

How do you have a level 21 reel when you are level 19 ??
Good video, you got another sub and like. When your mouse hand gets tired, you can try to use space bar instead to reel in. Also there are some windows accessibility options that can help with the left click – I know your pain on the long fights. Let me know if you would like more info. Also that first fight was a gar. 100 percent gar. That was no bass. Gar will run all day and never come in if the tackle is too light. Do not feel bad about that first fight. You could have been there for 4 real time hours. Take care.

I have taken them on crawfish cuts as well. The reason he gave you so much trouble is because you were using both mouse buttons at the same time. Pull your rod back and use right mouse to pull him in and stop his run, then take up the line as you bring your rod tip forward just like in real life. Been that way since 3.0 update. RMB and pull will tire him out faster.
