FISHING OLD ROAD BEDS!

I went out for a couple of days on B. Everett Jordan Lake, aka Jordan Lake, in North Carolina. This body of water is one of three “Raleigh Lakes,” with the other two being Shearon Harris and Falls Lake. I spent an entire day flipping bushing and fishing shallow before exploring deeper water. I came across a pattern of catching fish in 5-10 feet of water. I should have figured it out sooner as the water temperatures were in the 76-78 degree range and the bass were most definitely post spawn. I wish I had tried a carolina rig (pretty sure if was invented in this state…) on rounded, secondary points. This lake is known for BIG FISH and I’ll be back to target some trophy largemouth bass!
