Never understood supposed fishermen keeping everything like you said. I kept one Largemouth and one Smallmouth back when I got my own boat and started fishing in 1989 to see what they tasted like and that was on the Susquehanna river here in Maryland.
I've never used a Mepps. Ever catch Stripers or Catfish with them?
