Fishing for Snakehead and Bass in heavy cover – Potomac River

One thing for certain, in mid-summer the hydrilla becomes THICK on the Potomac. In this video, I took the day off to launch the kayak at Mason Neck State Park. The mission – push into Kanes Creek and find a snakehead or two. I had to weed through a bunch of bass but eventually I found one deep in the creek. Everything hit on topwater, the booya pad crasher (albino)
