Dude.. you have no clue how bad shinners are for a pond you want bass in… they eat bass eggs… not good.
Use pike shiners if have them there? They are huge. Looking good. Perfect time. Even night fishing. Once hit hard change it. 👍 lol. Decent bass. See if your bait shop can get pike shiners here as big as 6" catch nice bass too. Isn't easy like everyone thinks. I do like a drop shot. At night glowing bobbers. Nice bass lol gave a treat. Chumming😂😂. Nice giving local buisiness. Need a light and glow bobbers. Ty tc

They still work with dead shiners I cuaght my biggest bass on one
I enjoy this, thank you! I live way up in Buffalo, NY, and the problem we had this summer was when the temp. would be up to 100 degrees. When that happens, the bass don't bite at all! Worse, the shiners get temperature shocked when they leave the cool water in the bucket and hit the warm pond water.

Those are not large shiners, but they will do.
Fishing with those shiners reminds me of using peanut bunker and finger mullet in salt water. I have caught bluefish, weakfish, striped bass, fluke, sharks, etc. Biggest striper I ever caught was live lining a 16" herring. (36", 25 1/2 lbs)

I have been fishing with shiners my whole life hook them through the top lip and you will never loose a fish on hook set and use a small hook
