Today I’m fishing for bass and bluegill with a Zebco Bullet from 1992! This reel is 30 years old! I start of fishing from a dock while I try to catch bluegill. I catch a handful of nice sized bluegill, but then I get curious about bass. Can the zebco bullet even catch a bass being this old? Yes! I fish a texas rig baby brush hog and catch two largemouth bass. I had a great time remembering back to when I was young and fishing with a Zebco Bullet. It can easily catch bass and bluegill now, and I bet it could back then if I were a better fisherman years ago. #realistic #fishing

7:25 my reel does that all the time
Great catches Alex on the retro reel! Late to view, had to hit the rewind on the cassette player(remember those) to find this gem. Keep slaying them brother!
HELLO HAPPY!
Bringing out the ole zebco spin cast is definitely keeping it realistic. My dad used them growing up and taught me on them. No doubt it was what I caught my first bass on
One of my favorites from when I was a young man
Love seeing the Zebco shine like a star! My first combo was the Zebco 33 and I felt like a real big shot casting that thing. Fun episode!
Those fish had you so excited had to bleep yourself on the first one LOL. Not sure if it was due to 6lb line, old reel or just childhood excitement again. Great video Alex.
What a great throwback takes me back when my grandfather was alive fishing with his reels. Thanks alex!
I had a bullet when i was kid and wanted it so bad Before i got it for my BDAY! Then i stepped up to a Johnson country mile reel! Which i liked a lot better, cause i thought i could throw it alot further! I was young and loved fishing! Still do! Miss them days and miss my dad.. wish i had my country mile and the 38 special spinner bait i kept tied to it, white with white blades! Great video, thanks!
Heck yes!
Great stuff. Thanks Alex
That royal with cheese about stripped the gear out lol
I owned one of those Zebco 22's when I was a kid, though I was never "cool" enough to own the Bullet one! They casted well but the drag on them was not very good so catching a larger fish was not good!
We have a steelhead fishing tournament every year up here in Ohio with Barbie rods it’s a blast, Zebco style reels and no rod over 36” long with the potential to catch over 30 inch fish. Love seeing the classic stuff you bring on the show!
The first reel I bought with my own money, was a Zebco 202. I caught everything with that reel from trout to catfish and carp. The drag froze solid. But it would still cast. Loved that reel. Thanks for the memories.
Alex, this video was so much fun to watch. I have similar memories with my Zebco rod and reel my dad got me when I was 10. Took it on our trip to Virginia and caught a bunch of Bluegill on a float with worms! Found the Zebco rig buried in the garage about 6 years ago but it was so rusted out I threw it away. Also had the original line on it from 1969! Oh, yes by the way I heard the gears grind on your Zebco plain as day when you caught that Bass. Again so much fun to watch! Thanks for the memories Big A !
Great fishing with the old reel. I found some old Zebco 33's in my dad's shed that my brother and I used to catch bluegills and catfish when we ere kids.
Another great video buddy! Thanks for sharing the good ole days! #RealisticFishing rocks!
I had nothing but troubles with the bullet
Is that rod really cherry wood if so that’s way cool?!
i been fishing with a zebco slingshot for 5 years, never broke or warped once, i have strong attachment to it.
Baby brush hog, baby brush hog, baby brush hog.
I'm still using my abu Garcia black max I've had for, I can't remember how long… At least 3 years.
I had an awesome day yesterday, got a small bass, couple bluegill, then I just happened to see a crawfish right next to where I was standing so I grabbed it and used it as bait, got a good size catfish 😁 at least 7-8 lbs. I can't believe I managed to reel it in on my bass rod. I've only got 12 lb mono on it.
Totally digging these retro style videos! Keep em coming!
love those old reels my favorate rod langth is five and a half rod have used the new 7footers do not like them great video
That reel looks pretty slick compared to many other spincast reels. Need to pick me up some of those GULP minnows, I keep forgetting about them until I watch your videos.
Been a long time since you seen a bullet. Good ole zebco. Every fishermans learning reel. Some of my most memorable catches were with a screaming and malfunctioning zebco lol. Awesome gills brother and epic bass hooking with that thing. The last one coming off a snag spot was cool lol. KIR!!
After a cane pole , I graduated to a Zebco 202 then a Zebco 33! I lot of fun to watch you catch fish with a Zebco bullet!
Howdy Alex, thank you for what you do and all the fishers passion that you invest in your show AND your community. Great great YouTuber!! Coming around to the brush hog and kin. The K.I.S.S. rule has been applied this year to my fishing since it works everywhere else in my life. Over the winter I found a very clean Zebco with a 202 on it. I've cleaned and found it's iniquities in the several fish I've caught on it. From 4 inch bluegill to a handsome pounder largemouth. It's right handed, I'm 47 and a left handed open-face 6.6 -7 casting athlete. I'm looking for a super fantastical and better can reel. Abu Garcia and Zebco are my choices, I'll take a suggestion if you have one Alex.
Nice video, loved it brother! Gotta love some Zebcos! Thanks for keeping it realistic!
Cool video, Alex. Love the vintage reel. I’ve still caught more bass on my old Zebco 33 than any other piece of gear I own.
Awesome video! I always look forward to your videos.
Great video 😊
Loved this video Alex. Looked like a gorgeous evening to fish. While I don't recall using a Zebco Bullet, I grew up using other Zebco reels. Blast from the past… thanks again!
I bought a newer cherrywood baitcaster 2 years ago. Was my first introduction to baitcasters…took about $30-$50 in spinner baits to learn how to use the darn thing. Now I love them.
Just gearing up to go fishing next week and I already dug out my Garcia-Mitchell spinner and my Ambassadeur 2500 baitcaster from the 1970's. Then I see this video..
Great catches on the spincast combo dude. I personally don't spincast because of how quickly the break for me and such. Either way, congrats on the bluegill and especially the bass man. 👍
Thank you for that trip down memory lane. I have a lot of fond memories using a Zebco bullet with my dad and seeing this made my day!
