FISHING FIGHTS/DISPUTES (Tharp vs Herren, Rojas vs Jones) part2

Here we have 2 more fishing fights/disputes:
1. Randall Tharp and Mathew Herren dispute over who had rights to a stretch of water on the final day of a Bassmaster Elite event with 100K up for grabs. (ALSO, in all fairness, I did cut the video but it would’ve shown the two making up and realizing the whole deal was just a big misunderstanding).
2. Dean Rojas and Alton Jones, well, more Dean Rojas trashing Alton Jones on encroachment of his sweet spot on the final day of a Bassmaster elite event with 100K up for grabs.

It seems this past year these incidents have been more prominent in the bass fishing tournament world-or at least getting more publicity (Other incidents include Ish Monroe and Keith Poche, Boyd Duckett and Kevin Langill, Boyd Duckett and Carl Jocumsen). I’m sure this has always been part of competitive bass fishing, although, some of the veteran pros seem to believe that fishing space and encroachment has been much more of an issue in the past 10 years.

Sorry for the quality of video and audio but it’s the best I could come up with right now.

  1. Wow I rember KVD getting mad at Mike Iconelli by a bridge ,always wondered how much water do you need, there are other spots to fish. Fishing is supposed to be FUN ,THERE IS PLENTY OF WATER.

  2. This is NOT fishing….we are a family, friends…if you catch a big one you get bragging rights…but its all done in good humour….if you aint catching you ask your nextdoor neighbour."what you fishing on"….id be fist fighting with this lot…

  3. Why are they acting like you have to claim spots early in the tournament? Is that part of the rules? I thought you could fish anywhere so long as you aren’t sabotaging someone.

  4. Bunch of bass pro whiners. You don’t own a fishing spot. Especially in a tournament you’re there to catch the biggest fish. Not to be courteous to other fisherman, who think they own the place.

  5. Unpopular opinion. This isn't greed making fishing worse. This is competition making the sport exciting! I love the passion and competitive spirit in the first half of this video!!!

  6. My opinion……..Regardless of where you start fishing on Day 1 of a Tournament, that doesn’t give you the rights ONLY to that spot for the rest of the tournament. If someone else knows that spot too and they beat you there then move on to your next best spot.
Common sense but a lot of greedy people don’t use common sense….
They use no sense and that’s Nonsense 🤷🏻‍♂️
