MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I

  1. Just like when Jesus said the birds don't worry about what they'll eat or drink, we shouldn't be anxious as He always will provide. He is a very loving and gracious God. Great video, man. Best one I've seen in a very long time

  2. Wonderful clip. I'm a 59 year old Cancer survivor and like yourself, I've always been a Christian, but at times let my path wander. Fishing and tournament fishing has been part of my entire life, but after surviving my battle it's opened my eyes to so many things I took for granted for way to long. Fishing and enjoying Gods gift to me is my special place, it lets me clear my mind of the daily hustle and bustle of life and breath. Sure I always want to catch fish and have good events, but some days when things don't work out, its still an amazing day in Gods country. I've worked and traveled the world for years, and seen so many people that do not have the blessings we have. Enjoy every day and be thankful for our blessings.👍

  3. I tell folks all the time that I feel closest to God when I’m out in the boat enjoying all of his mighty creations. I am a cancer survivor & been blessed to be around 30 more years since & I owe it all to him🙏🏻

  4. Thank you for sharing Todd. My pastor would agree with you. If we were all pastors, who would we preach to? If we are always surrounded by believers, who would we share the gospel with? For him, the coller gets in the way at times. As a fisherman, we have common ground with other fishermen but then God will open a door to share your faith. Also keep in mind, what were the first 4 diciples? They were fisherman! So keep doing what you're doing.

  5. Man I love that you did this video. I grew up Bass fishing as my Dad was an avid tournament angler and all I ever wanted to be was a pro angler as a kid. But I became a paramedic and for 12 years I struggled with dealing with a lot of tragedy which led me down a dark path of addiction and for 8 years I battled that but God finally got my attention and I surrendered
    myself and was healed from
it and 6 years free. But God brought bass fishing back into my life and every single day out on the water and in tournaments it just brings me closer to him . He puts us all where we need to be at the moment we need to be there. God has restored so much in my life that was lost and I know people can be critical of other Christian’s but we all have our own path and if something brings us closer to him and gives us opportunity to share with someone about Jesus then I don’t see any issue. Thanks for sharing this and love the videos “and here’s why”

  6. I just subscribed to your channel today. This is the second video of yours I’ve watched and I’m so glad I did and have met you through Jesus Christ our savior! God bless you!

  7. Thanks for sharing! I do believe that "God" has given you this platform and it is wonderful to watch and hear you use it and acknowledge it. All Glory and Praise…………….

  8. One of my favorite bible verses is Romans 1:20. It says, "For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse." (NET). Contextually Paul is speaking of people in Rome who knew God but did not glorify him (v. 21), BUT he makes it clear that creation is one of the ways God chose to display his eternal power and divine nature. The point here is simply this, I feel the exact same way you do when I fish, hunt, or see the beauty that God created. It is also moving to know that he chose us to be the stewards of this divine creation. I can't count the times that I have fallen on my knees in awe of his presence and worshipped and prayed right on the front deck of my boat. I even got caught one time. That is a funny story. Anyway, I understand what you are saying, and I appreciate that you would share your heart for God. I will never forget that video in which you and your son had a conversation about Jesus. That one video is why I am a subscriber.

I suppose it is possible that the person who commented on your passion for fishing is not aware of your faith. If that commenter is aware and decided to call you out, well then, I would recommend that they spend some time reading Jesus' calls for unity within the body of believers. Here is one from Jesus (John 17:20-23) and one from God the Father (Psalm 133:1-3). Paul writes on the topic of unity as well.

  9. Thanks, Todd. My favorite video you have posted. Keep glorifying the name of Jesus! Keep the first things first and he will guide us in his loving way.

  10. A lot of people don't know Jesus was a carpenter and one of his disciples was a fisherman. Whats not good about tx fishing is the gambling aspect of it but it's not up to us to judge anyone. I use fishing the same it's a platform to share the love of love of Jesus an his word.

  11. Sounds to me that someone was being judgmental toward you for fishing. Fishing is your job and some jobs require you to work on Sunday or even Saturday for some churches. God rested on on the sabbath but man made the calendar. Your witness is strong and you keep fishing and preaching. Even Jesus loved fisherman.
